ADMISSION

Admission into Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit, is through the Monotechnics, Polytechnics and College if Education Examiations (MPCE) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). In addition to obtaining the required level of performance at the MPCE, each candidate seeking admission into the College must satisfy the following General and Departmental requirements:

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

(a)     O/L passes in at least five (5) subjects a one sitting, three (3) of which must be Credit level or four Credit at two sittings.

(b)     Teachers Grade Two Certificate (TC II) with at least a pass or merit in English Language and Credit passes in at least three (3) subjects at one sitting or four (4) subjects at two sittings which must include Mathematics and one or two other relevant subjects.

(c)    City and Guilds/WAEC Technical/Craft/Intermediate Part II/Course B Certificate in Building and Wood, Mechanical or Electrical trades respectively, plus the Federal Craft Certificate (FCC) with at least four credit passes in four (4) academic subjects including Mathematics, Science, English Language and Social Sciences.
